The high level of purity achieved enables post-consumer recyclates to be used for demanding applications, including packaging for cosmetics and personal care products. With this development, Lindner expands the potential applications for mechanically recycled plastics and supports the transition toward higher-quality material cycles.
Flexloop is designed as a modular system that can be integrated into existing Lindner washing and recycling lines. This allows recyclers to make use of their existing infrastructure while enhancing purification capabilities. Compared with chemical recycling processes, the technology offers lower investment and operating costs, providing an efficient option for improving material quality within established mechanical recycling frameworks.
The collaboration between Lindner and Procter & Gamble began at the previous K trade fair. Following joint development and licensing agreements, Lindner has secured exclusive rights to commercialize the technology and plans to establish it as an industrially scalable solution in mechanical recycling.
